Hazaribag: XXX MHRAT Basketball and Cluster-1 Athletics & Cricket
Tournament 2012 was inaugurated by Hon’ble Dr. Manish Ranjan , D.C.
, Hazaribag by hoisting the Tournament flag & releasing balloons. In his
address to the participants, the Chief Guest gave several tips for
success. He said that life itself is a game and failure & success are two
different aspects of life. We get success only when we work hard with
proper planning, team spirit, self confidence & perseverance.
Sometimes we fail in our effort but this does not mean that we should
be disheartened and discouraged. It is wisdom to take a lesson from
our failures through self introspection.
The school Principal Shri Ashok Kumar, welcoming the guests, said that
altogether 34 teams were participating in the tournament. Sixteen
teams of Basketball, ten teams of Cricket, were there. Besides, there
were participants in Junior boys and girls track and field events. The
teams were from DAV Ara Kuju, Bharechnagar, Rajrappa, Chatra, Barhi,
Koderma , Giddi A, Kedla, Tapin, Gandhinagar, Bariyatu, Chaibasa,
Kapildeo, Bokaro Sector 4 & 6, Bistupur and Hazaribag, among others.
In the inaugural match the boys team of DAV Hazaribag scored 44
points beating the team from Bokaro by 8 points.
Among those present were students, parents, other citizens, besides a
large number of dignitaries including Dr. Hiralal Saha, Prof Vikash
Kumar, Shri Birendra Kumar, General Secretary H. Bag Athletics
Association. Shri O. P. Yadav Principal DAV Koderma, Shri G. K. Mishra
Principal DAV Tapin, Shri Suresh Singh Principal DAV Barhi. This
tournament will conclude on 19th October.
