Mass Traffic Awareness Campaign



A mass Traffic Awareness campaign was organized by the students of DAV Public School, Hazaribag on 25/08/2012 , in which 1000 odd students, a number of teachers ,dignitaries of the town had their participation. The rally was flagged off by the Superintendent of Police, Hazaribag, Hon’ble Shri Manoj Kaushik, at Indrapuri Chowk, at 8:30 a.m. The occasion was paramount as there was a huge throng witnessing this historic yet momentous start. The participants walked through the main road and crossed Sadar Hospital->Pagoda Chowk->Jhanda Chowk->Congress Office Road->Guru Govind Singh Road-> Annada Chowk->G.G. S. Park->Court More-> Barka Gaon Road->N.H. 100->Lake Road->Zila School Ground. While marching ahead with a number of Hazaribag Police in company of Traffic Police with the Dy. S.P. traffic Hazaribag, the participants of Nukkar Natak (Skit) presented their show concerning the road safety rules and safe driving as well as happy return to his/her home. During the presentation, a number of public could be seen watching the Natak mesmerized and realizing the importance of each and everything governing their safety and security of life.

The enthusiastic students not only paraded through the town but also carried myriads of placards, festoons, banners with road safety messages and slogans. Besides this, posters containing instructions on how to walk and cross the road safely were distributed to roadside shops and passersby.
The enthusiastic students and NCC cadets spread the message in the form of attractive placards and banners that Traffic safety involves a shared responsibility of the citizens. Much more than only following the speed limit, traffic safety includes attention to a variety of topics and settings. Traffic safety does include obeying laws on the highways, for automobiles, trucks and other vehicles. It also includes attention to pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, mopeds and other forms of transportation.
They presented a road show and street plays which figured a comprehensive look at traffic safety examinining human factors such as being distracted or feel drowsy due to drunkedness.
The rally was attended by Shri Ashok Kumar Principal, Dr. R. K. Singh , Supervisory Head and more than 50 male and female teachers of the school.
