Five
times in a row into the national meet of the National Children’s Science Congress, one of the most prestigious scientific
event in India- a deed indeed! By pulling it off our students, our potential
Bhabhas and C.V. Ramans, have brought glory not only to themselves but also to
their school and the people of Hazaribag. They- Bipul Kumar, Akash Kumar,
Shubhankur Biswas and Nirbhay Kumar – have demonstrated what a relentless
persuit of the DAV credo of laying a solid foundation of scientific attitude in
its students can accomplish by getting
selected fifth time, with no break in between, to participate in the National
Level Congress to be held at BHU, Uttar Pradesh.

Beginning
with their triumphant debut in 2008- with Ravi Shankar Mishra catching the eyes
of Indian Scientific Community with his path-breaking research project on the
ominous environmental portents of a rapidly dwindling vulture population: the
Hazaribag DAVians have not looked back. The trail blazed by our pioneers has
been kept blazing by their worthy followers. Year after year since then our
students have made waves in the Indian Scientific Circles with their brilliant
creative presentations at the National Meets of NCSC as well as at other
scientific fora – not to speak of their similar performances at the lower level
ones.
Those
lavishing praise on our students at the NCSC national meets as also at others,
include among others such eminent people as Dr. A.P.J. Kalam, Prof. Yashpal, our Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,
Gujrat C.M. Shri Narendra Modi and Shiela Dixit, the Chief Minister of Delhi.
What the likes of them were particularly impressed with were the quality and
the quantum of the research work done, the deep insight and the exceptional maturity
of approach displayed by these youngsters. Practical application of the ideas
articulated by them in their presentations has been yet another remarkable feature
of these projects.
The Principal Shri Ashok Kumar congratulated
the participants and said that they in DAV Hazaribag, as part of their
organizational culture and philosophy, laid high emphasis on ensuring that
their students get into the habit of not accepting any assertion without
subjecting it to the acid test of scientific thinking. And the results were
therefore all to see.
