The
65th Republic Day was
celebrated with great pomp & show here at Sr.Wing of DAV Public school, Hazaribag.
The Principal of the school Shri Ashok Kumar paid the floral tribute to the
father of the nation. He unfurled the national flag at 9.30 a.m. amidst the
presence of more than thousand students, parents, teaching and non-teaching
staff.
The Principal,
Shri Ashok Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest, the Distinguished Guest and the
dignitaries present on the occasion and said that it was indeed a great
occasion for the school. He gave credit to the parents, devoted teaching & non-teaching
staff and well-wishers for major milestones achieved by the students. He
informed that the school has been placed among ten best model schools (DAV
Public Schools) by DAV CMC on the basis of qualitative point index. He also
assured the parents that the school will be placed among ten best school of
India by 2017 which was a dream of late N. D. Grover.
The
Chief Guest Shri Deepak Verma, IPS, IG (Retd.) felicitated the Krishanu of
Class XI, Rahul Kumar & Aditya Sinha (Who represented the school in Cross
Word Puzzle competition at National Level), Kshitij Anant, Touship Hussain,
Kirti, Rajnidhi, Shivam (for Spectacular performance in sports ), the quiz
participants of Heritage quiz Vinayak, Ritik, Ritwik . Nitin Aman & Tanya
(Best Prefects), Vishal Kumar (who stood first in district level painting
competition) and Sourabh, Ashutosh (the cross country participants) on this
occasion
The
Chief Guest, said that the students of DAV School have been doing exceedingly
well in academics, cultural, sports, science & innovation and in social concern. He extended
his good wishes to all the people present there on the glorious day.
On
this occasion the NCC cadets presented a beautiful march past. The students of
Junior as well as Senior wings presented patriotic group dance , solo dance , Folk
,classical dance, western dance and a
Hindi skit (Vikash Ki Devi).
The
vote of thanks was proposed by the Head Boy of the School. The programme was anchored by Kritika and Ananya. Besides
more than thousand parents, students, Shri Arvind Singh, Shri Yamuna Yadav and
many other dignitaries were present.
