A trekking –cum-Cleanliness Drive was organised by the NCC
cadets and the students( std.X ) of DAV
Public school, Hazaribag on 16.12.2013. They chose the surroundings of the
Canary Hill.
Addressing the students
at Canary Hill ,Shri –A.K.Singh
IFS-D.F.O . Hazaribag Division, said that the students of DAV Public School
had always been doing exceedingly well in every field whether it is scholastic
or co-scholastic area. The active and willing participation of students in such
kind of cleanliness drive reflect their attitude and awareness for environment.
Principal Shri Ashok Kumar said that nature never deceives us, it is the people
who deceive themselves by making the beauty of nature dirty. It is just like
inviting troubles for themselves. If we keep the surroundings clean we may
enjoy the hygienic surroundings which are must for a healthy and prosperous life.
Seven
hundred odd NCC cadets and the students with their respective
class teachers participated in this programme. A huge heap of rubbish was piled up by
collecting the waste materials, poly bags , wrappers etc. from around the hill.
Refreshments were also distributed among the students.
On
this occasion the teachers like Mr.
Krishna Kumar Singh (ANO NCC), Mr. Dhiraj Gupta, Mr. U.N. Pandey, Mr. R.D.
Sharma, Mr. C.Das, Mrs. Neeta Srivastava, Mrs. Aruna Priyadarshini , Mr. V.
Vishwakarma, Mr. Aftab Alam etc. were present there.
