KRISHANU, a student of DAV
Public School Hazaribag participated in the INSPIRE AWARD SCHEME-2013 conducted by Department
of Science and Technology, INDIA from 19/08/2013 to 21/08/2013 at the
RANCHI UNIVERSITY and was selected for
national level which will be held at PRAGATI MAIDAN, NEW DELHI from 8/10/2013
to 10/10/2013. In this state level competition more than 400 schools selected at district level had
participated throughout the JHARKHAND state.
This programme is organised by
Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of INDIA every year to develop
scientific temperament and inculcate new ideas among the students. This year 25
students were selected to represent the state. KRISHANU presented his project
on “SOLAR WATER PASTEURISER and PORTABLE SOLAR COOKER”. The project was
appreciated both by judges and public. He has made a portable solar cooker
which cost less than Rs.100. This cook
er
is easily portable and is made for daily use. It works on the principle of
solar radiation and is not made up of glass. Another device that he developed
is Solar Water Pasteuriser which would be cheaper, more efficient and
eco-friendly way to filter water.The Principal Shri Ashok Kumar congratulated Master Krishanu who explained his project quite brilliantly in front of the jury members. He said that Krishanu had always been doing exceedingly well in scholastic as well as co-scholastic activities in the school. At this point of time when Krishanu has made the school proud by getting selected to represent state for national level, it will not be out of place to mention that this very lad had also represented state at 20th NATIONAL CHILDREN SCIENCE CONGRESS held at B.H.U, VARANASI from 27th to 31st December 2012 .The Principal wished him a better performance at the national level.
