The
67th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp & show here at Sr.Wing
of DAV Public school, Hazaribag. The Principal of the school Shri Ashok Kumar
paid the floral tribute to the father of the nation. He unfurled the national
flag at 9.30 a.m. amidst the presence of more than thousand students, parents, teaching
and non-teaching staff.
The
Principal, Shri Ashok Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest, the Distinguished Guest
and the dignitaries present on the occasion and said that it was indeed a great
occasion for the school. He gave credit to the parents, devoted teaching &
non-teaching staff and well-wishers for major milestones achieved by the
students.
On
this occasion Master Ashutosh Anshu, Apoorva Vardiyar, Anand Bhasker, Ashutosh,
Tossiff Hussain and Inter House Solo Song& Group Dance Winners were
felicitated. Ashutosh Anshu, of class
XII had participated in the BRAINOMANIA-
2013 conducted by ISM Dhanbad on
28/07/’13 at the ISM Dhanbad and had
clinched a laptop and a trophy for emerging first in this state level
competition. In this competition 50000
students had appeared in the written round held at school level. He had made the school proud by topping the state in
BRAINOMANIA , it will not be out of place to mention that this very lad had also won Rs. 1,01,000 as scholarship for
qualifying BHASHKAR GENIUS SCHOLARSHIP REWARD EXAM 2012.
Vidya
Lakshmi Std X, Abhishek Singh Std. X and Ankita Ratna of Class XI were also
given the Best Readers Award for emerging with flying colours in the
competition conducted by The Telegraph Young Readers Contest held at Jharkhand
State Level
The
Chief Guest Hon’ble Dr. Pradeep Kumar IFS,RCCF, Hazaribag said that the
students of DAV School have been doing exceedingly well in academics ,
cultural, sports, science &
innovation and in social concern. He extended his good wishes to all the
people present there on the glorious day.
On
this occasion the NCC cadets presented a beautiful march past. The students of
Junior as well as Senior wings presented patriotic group dance , solo dance ,bhangra
dance, Quawali , Folk , Rajasthani, Hariyanwi
& dandia dance and a Hindi skit based on the theme of corruption.
The
vote of thanks were proposed by Dr. R. K. Singh, Sup. Head of the school. The
programme was anchored by Steffy, Kritika and Ananya. Besides more than
thousand parents, students, Shri Arvind Singh, Shri Yamuna Yadav and many other
dignitaries were present.
