N. D. Grover Memorial Workshop on Debate, Declamation, Extempore, Dramatics, Creative writing in English & Cartooning Competition




N. D. Grover Memorial Workshop on Debate, Declamation, Extempore, Dramatics, Creative writing in English & Cartooning was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Manoj Kaushik IPS, SP, Hazaribag by lighting the inaugural lamp. The floral tribute to the portrait Late N. D. Grover was also given. The students welcomed the Chief Guest Hon’ble Shri Manoj Kaushik and the Resource Person Hon’ble Shri Parnab Mukherjee by presenting bouquets to them. In his welcome address, the Principal Shri Ashok Kumar said that it was indeed a great & glorious moment for the school. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest Shri Manoj Kaushik , IPS, SP Hazaribag  for the opening ceremony and the Chief Guest Hon’ble Shri R. N. Bhagat Vice Chancellor VBU for closing ceremony for sparing their precious time despite their busy schedule. He also thanked Shri Parnab Mukherjee an international Quiz Master and Debator par excellence for giving his valuable time and he was all praise for his exceptional work in the field educational activities. He reminded the gathering  that Mr. Parnab had already conducted a grand India Today Quiz there at School.

The resource person Mr. Parnab Mukherjee said that a job is necessary for everyone in life in order to earn the livelihood but the question arises whether someone should read for a skill, knowledge or simply for ability to do the job. According to him, studying physics is equal to composing a good poem as well as good painting. Applying education in life only makes some one educated. The degree or diploma can’t make someone educated. We have to develop the attitude of learning how to learn anything properly. Encouraging the students, he said everyone is fighting for the nation simply by doing the duty honestly. He gave certain hints to the participants of debate and extempore regarding dialogue delivery, presentation, body language, eye contact, use of language etc.
The Guest of Honour Shri. S. K. Mishra, Zonal Manager BOI, told the students that there were many opportunities before them in their life. They have to make up their mind what they have to do in the life.
Citing the example of Alfred Nobel he encouraged the students to think how they can be recognized in the society. He suggested the students to be open minded, creative and critical in order to learn from every situation of life.

On this occasion based on the theme of Infanticide(Girl) the one act play “Mujhe Janma Lene Do” directed by Sr. Hindi Teacher Mr. Baldeo Pandey and the Calpurnia’s dream of ‘Julius Ceaser’ under the guidance of senior English teacher Mrs. Kiran Mishra were staged by the members of Dramatic Club of the school.
Hon’ble Shri R. N. Bhagat, Vice Chancellor VBU felicitated the winning participants and said that loosing and winning doesn’t matter what matters the most is willing and active participation.
