Annual Sports Meet-2013 was Inaugurated by the Chief Guest Hon’ble Shri Umesh
Kr. Singh, IPS, DIG –Cum- Principal, P.T.C. Hazaribag here at Sr. Wing DAV
Public School, Hazaribag. He lighted the
inaugural lamp, released the balloons and declared the meet open. Addressing
the gathering he said that he had come through the
newspapers and from the talk of the town that the school of 5000 odd students
on rolls with excellent achievement credentials both scholastic and
co-scholastic was progressive enough and it deserved his all praise and
appreciation. One of the important goals of education is to help children
achieve continuous development along all lines of growth – physical, social,
emotional and intellectual. Keeping these goals in view this school is doing a wonderful job in this
direction under the able guidance of the Principal, Shri Ashok Kumar.
The
brilliant results of class 10th and 12th
CBSE examinations, 5th
consecutive participation in National Level-National Children’s Science Congress, entry into the National
Round of the CBSE Heritage India Quiz held at Modern School, Barakhamba, Delhi on
6th & 7th December, 2012, coming up tops in the Bhaskar Genius Contest,
instituted by the Bhaskar Group of Periodicals among several others are
proof enough that this school continues to be a dream destination for the
seekers of the quality education.
Representation
in East Zone in National CBSE Badminton Championship held at Dubai (UAE),Four
times consecutive Winners, & Runners-up once, in the National CBSE Handabll
Championship.Five times consecutive
Winners in the National CBSE Badminton Championship,1st position in CBSE
Cluster Level and participation in the CBSE National Level Basketball Girls
Tournament,6th consecutive win in the Lakshmi Devi Inter School Cricket

representation of Jharkhand team in the Sub-Junior All India Badminton
Tournament held at New Delhi, hosting the CBSE
Cluster-II Basketball Tournament-2011 to the complete satisfaction of the
CBSE, 7th win in a row in Laxmi Devi Inter School District Cricket Tournament etc reflect the
enthusiastic and true sportsmanship spirit of DAV Hazaribag boys and girls. Further,
addressing the children he said that games and sports keep the body always
physically fit and mentally strong. Healthy body has only healthy mind. On this occasion of Annual Sports he wished the
participants to perform better in their respective events. Winning and losing
the game does not matter, what matters is their active and willing participation.
The
Distinguished Guest Shri Rajendra kumar Harijan, Sr. Division Manager, LIC,
Hazaribag expressed his happiness and said that the students of DAV have been
doing exceedingly well in every field. He wished that students might prosper by
leaps and bounds in the days to come and should come forward also for the
service of mankind of the society because hands for services are far better
than the hands for pray.
The
Principal, Shri Ashok Kumar welcomed the chief guest, the distinguished guest
and the dignitaries present on the occasion and said that it was indeed a great
occasion for the school. He, further, said that the school has unbreakable
record of winning the overall championship of 14 years at zonal level. The
students of the school have been adding feathers to its crown every year by
performing in scholastic as well as co-scholastic area.
A
beautiful march past was witnessed by the audience presented by students of
four houses namely “Ganga”, “Yamuna”,
”Satluj”and “Kaveri” under the guidance of Mr.K.K.Singh ANO of the school. A
welcome song as well as an aerobic dance were presented by the students of
cultural committee.
Kritika,
Mrinalini, Ankita and Ananya anchored the whole programme. Besides the parents
and many other dignitaries shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Sr. Accounts officer, Shri
Ranjan Kr. Jain, Vice Chairman LMC, DAV Shri Dinesh Khandelwa, Shri Hiralal
Saha etc.were present
